Asked by: sfbell 593 views Installation

Hello,

I am trying to setup the Advert Pro, and the final step of setup is throwing an exception:

[Tue Oct 17 09:14:34 EDT 2006] [EMERGENCY] aborting initialization

I used the .sql script create.sql to generate the tables in MySql 4.0.26-nt.

One other important note: I populated the database with data from our development db by using a backup/restore process. The db’s are the same version. Should I have run the setup with an empty db first?

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to use MySQL Connector/J 3.0 to fix this: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/3.0.html

Start with an empty database. The setup utility will create tables for you. After the setup is complete, you can log in and restore from your backup.
