PHPAds – OpenAds Integration

Asked by: StephenL 504 views Third Party Ads

A site that uses PHPAds (now called OpenAds) v2.0 or so is trying to integrate our HTML code into their system so they can rotate our ads.

So far, no luck.

Depending how we set it up, they can see the ad in the preview section, but on the website itself they never appear.

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Maybe they’ve modified the PhpAds tags to remove <SCRIPT> and <IFRAME> tags. That will make it so they can’t display our tags since an <IMG> tag can’t display JavaScript/HTML. It would work if they created a graphic banner in PhpAdsNew using the URLs from the <A> and <IMG> tags in the AdvertPRO code you gave them, provided of course that your ads are graphic banners too (Flash or HTML banners won’t work with <IMG> tags).

If you want to have them set up a test page running the ad through PhpAds, I’d probably be able determine if that’s the problem or if it’s something else.

OK. We got it working. I took out all the Javascript and put the code into an iframe. Works nice now.
