Flash 8 in iframe, clickTAG and _top

Asked by: darklow 699 views User Questions

since last advertpro upgrade we can’t serve flash 8 banners in iframes anymore with _top target specified in flash. It simply doesnt clicks, you can click how much you want but nothing happens.

I guess there are some issues changeing the way flash tagds generates. Before it was .swf?clickTAG=… but now it is through flashvars.

Only two ways we can serve flash 8 banners are:
1. Change target to _blank
2. Put banner outside iframe

Both ways are not good for us…

Is there a way to correct the problem?
Thanks.

Does it work if you export the SWF file for Flash 6 and ActionScript 1.0?

Did anyone find a solution to this issue? We are starting to get familiarized with the software, but we are stuck at serving Flash banners.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

If you export the SWF file for Flash 6 and ActionScript 1.0 it should work just fine. See this page in the manual for further instructions and the actual ActionScript code that you should use: http://www.advertpro.com/docs/1.0/html/manual/clicktrack.html#flash

Yes, I got to tinker a bit with the FLA file and it was the button/actionscript code troubling us.

Thanks for looking into it! :D
