Displaying 4 ads across

Asked by: Ric 535 views API / Integration

I am trying to display 4 banner ads using Custom Targeting… If a webpage referrs to Kitchens, I want to be ale to display 4 unique banner ads relevant to the Kitchen target word. I am going to the code building and selecting 4 ads wide, but the code doesn’t seem to function properly for that setting. I only get the one ad still…

Sounds like some of the ads aren’t being targeted. Have you added ‘&custom1=Kitchens’ to the generated zone code yet? Campaigns won’t show up unless they match that field if they’re set to target “kitchen” or “kitchens”.

If that doesn’t work, make sure you didn’t forget to assign a media to the campaigns or there isn’t some other expiration or target set on them.

I guess my biggest problem is that I have 4 ads, I want to assign them to one campaign that is targeted to “kitchen”, I have another 4 ads that I want to assign to a campaign targeted to “bathroom”.

When the zone calls the campaigns, it holds the &custom1=kitchen, I thought I could have it display all 4 associated ads (medias) to the kitchen campaign in either a 4 across, a 4 up and down, or a 2×2 format?

Can I? …and THANKS for your quick response to the original question!

Yeah, the display multiple ads option will only display 1 ad per unique campaign. It does this to prevent duplicate ads from showing up in multiple slots. If you want all four ads to show up at the same time, they would have to be set up each with their own campaign.
