Javascript in rich text ad + click tracking

Asked by: michael 550 views User Questions

Hello Renegade Team,

I have to embed some javascript code into one of my rich text ads. This unfortunately breaks the click tracking. How can I add the javascript so that the clicks are still tracked?

Currently my rich text ad is set up like this (Click tracking without the js works fine):

<br /><a href="http://www.example.com">Foo</a><br /><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"><br /><!--<br />bar();<br />//--><br /></script><br />

    What you need to do is insert our click tracking macros into your links:

    <br /><a href="<strong>%%CLICKLINK%%</strong>http://www.example.com">Foo</a><br /><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"><br /><!--<br />bar();<br />//--><br /></script>

    You can see how to do this for HTML forms and links in Applets or Flash as well here: http://www.advertpro.com/docs/1.0/html/manual/clicktrack.html
