Report width one click and no views

Asked by: Thomas Hvitstein 684 views User Questions

I generated a media report today and got a really strange result. Below you can see a part of the report. The media was taken of 4 of december, but at the nineteenth of december there is registred one click and no views. This is not a very serious problem, but if costumers get reports that look like this they may start to wonder if the advertising system we are running generates a polite statistic. Anyone have an idea about how can this be explained?

This was most likely the result of someone clicking on an ad that was cached on their system. Was this media published in a HTML e-mail?

It’s a flash media and it has not been sent in any newsletters. If the click was the day or a few after campaign end it could have been that someone had left there browser window open. But just one click after 16 days I found a little strange. But as you say it probably has to do with caching… :)

Yes, it is definitely strange given the time lapse. The only other possible explanation I can think of is someone may have saved a web page for offline viewing.
