How to set Delivery Capping limited?

I have a big problem with impression sale with limited time:(

Sample: customer buys campaign 300,000 impressions (views) in 40 Days
we want to distribute impressions about 7500 per day
How could I set the campaign?

5 ways of setting I have been tried.

first time I set Delivery Limits max views 300,000 + Delivery Capping View Limit 300,000 View Timeout 40 days

2nd time I set only Delivery Capping View Limit 300,000 View Timeout 40 days

3th time I set Delivery Limits max views 300,000 + Delivery Capping View Limit 7,500 View Timeout 1 days

4th time I set only Delivery Capping View Limit 7,500 View Timeout 1 days

5th time I set set only Delivery Capping View Limit 7,500 View Timeout 40 days

But It has the same result, stopped before 40 days! and some has over impression per day :(

Bytheway is there eny special code to put in banner?

    You are running the campaign with a zone, correct? If you generated code for the campaign then no limits, targeting, etc… are processed. It’s treated like static content when a campaign/media is displayed directly like that — really it was only ever intended to do that for newsletters.

    If you are using a zone to run the campaign, are you using an old version of AdvertPRO? The even distribution feature has been refined through the past few updates. It is now very solid and makes predictions of your traffic to smooth the delivery rate of the campaigns, so I suggest upgrading.

    we used AdvertPro ver.1.since 2006
    Is it useful if I select Zone’s feature Date&Time in Exclusive Targeting box? Or upgrading is better?

    There is a few questions about upgrading. :confused:
    1. Is it affected to our customer DB (stats,Banners…)< < serious issue
    2. If upgrading, will we have remote setting service from advertpro?
    3. How much does it cost?

    No, that will not do anything. You need to upgrade.

    1. Is it affected to our customer DB (stats,Banners…)

    The upgrade is 100% backwards compatible. It will automatically apply changes to add new columns/tables your database, but it does not remove anything. You should of course always have backups of your database in case there is a problem, but as I said the upgrade is 100% backwards compatible so there should be no issues.

    2. If upgrading, will we have remote setting service from advertpro?

    Please clarify. I am not sure what you are referring to.

    3. How much does it cost?

    5. As mentioned, we still have problem with launching banner which limited impression and duration. Many banners were ran out before the terminated date. Will the problem slove in this upgraded version?

    6. During our company payment process, we are now still facing the problem. Could you please suggest us for solving problem during this period of time.

    7. How long does it take for upgrading to new version?

    8. In case we upgrade the Advert pro will you please fix for us? (We shall provide the username and password for you to remote to our server)

    Yes, of course. The latest version is currently 1.0.9245

    You can see the changelog in AdvertPro if you click on the Version Information link at the bottom of the screen.

    Yes.

    Upgrading is the only solution, so you may want to ask them to expedite their payment process.

    7. How long does it take for upgrading to new version?

    If we can be provided with access to your server, we can install it for you on the same or next business day after your payment is received. The proccess is very simple. It only takes about 5 minutes to complete at most if you want to do it yourself.

    Hi,

    We still quite concern for renewal that we could not solve our existing problem. Now there many Ads software provider propose us for the new software but we haven’t make any decision yet. We still want to use AdvertPro but want to make sure that we could solve the existing problem.

    Can we have some trial period? What is the condition?
    Please advise.

    Cause of old admin had been quit about 6 months now I must be temporary admin till we have new admin.(still searching)

    As you know we have some problem with program and our license has expired
    we want to renew and upgraded as soon as possible.

    I see only Build Number No. 9,243 in our program (is it user id?)

    We still have a same problem of setting delivery limits.

    Sample, if we want banner show 300,000 views in 30 days (show banner every day) is it could be 10,000 views per day?

    26 /08/08 – I set delivery limits – Max Views 300,000 – View Limit 10,000 – view time out 1 day.
    Then the advertise cut off in one day with 300,000 views

    27/8/08 – Try again with – View Limit 10,000 – view time out 1 day.
    but it seem that views over limit.

    Could you suggest us how to set delivery limits that work?

    You need to make the following settings on the campaign to have it deliver 300,000 impressions over 40 days.

    Delivery Options
    Even Distribution = Yes
    Keyword Only = No

    Delivery Limits
    Max Views = 300000
    Max Clicks = 0
    Max Actions = 0

    Delivery Capping
    View Limit = 0
    Click Limit = 0
    Action Limit = 0

    The Max Views setting is what defines the total number of impressions to deliver for the campaign. The View Limit capping is to set a per-visitor frequency cap, so that is incorrect to use. The Even Distribution setting is what spreads the campaigns delivery out between the Start Date and Stop Date — you just need to make sure those are 40 days apart if that’s how long you want the campaign to run for and it will calculate how many views per day it should deliver automatically.

    I suggest you read over the documentation on these settings too, which you can access by clicking the (?) icon at the top right of the screen or above any field on the screen as well.

    There is a very comprehensive explanation of how chain/priority work here in the user manual:

    A priority of 5 should yield 5 times as many views as a priority of 1. Why the reports do not show that? I believe it is probably because today is the 28th and you are comparing a partial days delivery (today) to a full days delivery (yesterday).
