I answered your e-mail regarding this same question yesterday. Did you not receive my reply? I suggest you add support@renegadeinternet.com to your “safe senders” list so our e-mails get through to you.

    Why are you not using the clickTAG standard to track your clicks? That would really make things easier as it does not require JavaScript. We have a tutorial that shows how to implement the clickTAG in the Flash banner here: http://www.flashclicktag.com/

    Then you would need to add the following tags:

    <param name="flashvars" value="clickTAG=%%CLICKTAG%%http://www.example.com/"/><br /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/>

    And the following attribute would be added to the tag:

    flashvars="clickTAG=%%CLICKTAG%%http://www.example.com/" allowscriptaccess="always"

    You just need to change http://www.example.com/ to the URL the advertiser wants you to redirect to.

    If you wish to use the JavaScript to track your clicks, the problem you are running in to is cross-domain scripting being blocked. It works in the preview since both the JavaScript and .swf file are being run on adserver1.prensa.com but when run on your web site the JavaScript is run on prensa.com instead.

    To fix that problem, you would need to add the following tag:

    <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/>

    And the following attribute would be added to the tag:

    allowscriptaccess="always"

    See the following for more information on cross-domain security: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403183.html

    You might also need to set up a crossdomain.xml policy file. We include one with AdvertPro: http://adserver1.prensa.com/advertpro/crossdomain.xml

    Copy that file so it’s accessible at both http://adserver1.prensa.com/crossdomain.xml and http://prensa.com/crossdomain.xml — on the AdvertPro server the proper location would be in the /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/ROOT directory.
