Is there a way to put onmouseover in my zone code so that the long and detailed link that shows in the browser status bar is replaced by something short and sweet? As it is, it gives out a really long URL containing more information than I would like.

I am using the javascript zone tags (sample below). Can I insert something like: onMouseOver=”window.status=’something simple’; return true;”

If so, where would I put it? And/or is there a non-javascript alternative to accomplish the same thing? Is it possible to make it show only the target URL as the status bar text instead of the ad server URL with all of its parameters?

document.write('<SCR'+'IPT src="http://myserver.com/servlet/view/banner/javascript/zone?zid=999&pid=0&random='+Math.floor(89999999*Math.random()+10000000)+'&millis='+new Date().getTime()+'&referrer='+escape(document.location)+'" language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"></SCR'+'IPT>');

    It is possible to set an onMouseOver and onMouseOut for each of your graphic banner media by editing the media and selecting Media Scripting from the Change View drop down.

    If you don’t want to have to set that on every media you could add a JavaScript to your page that executes after it loads to add the onMouseOver and onMouseOut to the links for the banners, which you could do conditionally if you retrieve all <A> tags in the page and check if the href attribute contains /servlet/click as all click-through links will contain that pattern.
