I’m trying to see if some of the settings I currently apply in our installation of Advert Pro, make sense to continue.
Let’s say I’ve got five different advertisers. All five advertisers are run of site, run for the exact same days, are not competing with one another, but are competing against themselves. The only difference between each advertiser is the number of impressions to deliver.
What I have been doing was setting the campaigns with greater numbers of impressions into higher chains, so for example:
Advertiser A – buys 100,000 impressions for the month – goes into chain 10
Advertiser B – buys 68,000 impressions for the month – goes into chain 8
Advertiser C – buys 50,000 impressions for the month – goes into chain 6
Advertiser D – buys 37,500 impressions for the month – goes into chain 4
Advertiser E – buys 20,000 impressions for the month – goes into chain 2
However, I’m beginning to think that all of the advertisers should go into the same chain, with the same priority, since Advert Pro will determine how many impressions to deliver hourly, daily and weekly … without me adding an additional layer of “logic.”
Is what I’m doing now best? Or should I change to having all advertisers in the same chain (and all with the same priority)?
Thought? Comments?
